Jon Tuttle - Play/Script writing
Jon Tuttle is Playwright-in-Residence and Literary Manager at Trustus Theatre in Columbia, South Carolina, and Professor of English at Francis Marion University. He is also resident dramaturg at the annual WordBridge Playwrights Workshop and co-director of the Critics Institute at the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Conference at Clemson University. His plays, which include Drift, The White Problem, and Sonata for Armadillos (all published by Playscripts, Inc.), The Hammerstone and Terminal Cafe (Dramatists Play Service), A Fish Story (Samuel French) and most recently Holy Ghost, have recieved over 100 productions across the country. He has won the Sprenger/Lang history play award and the South Carolina Theatre Association's Founder's Award, has been a silver medalist for the Pinter Review Prize and has received fellowships from the South Carolina Academy of Authors and the SC Arts Commission. Jon and his wife Cheryl live in Florence, South Carolina, and are the proud parents of Staci, Jill and Josh.
